Bundle offers can be used to combine several articles (more precisely: variants) into one bundle article (discounted package offer). The individual articles are managed separately internally.
If an exhibitor books such a bundle offer, the individual components (i.e., the associated articles) of the bundle are placed in the shopping cart, and only a total price is shown. This makes it possible for service providers to continue to manage the items that concern them.
First, an article is created (e.g., "Stand construction package"). The article initially works like any other article, with descriptive texts, images and various properties. The assignment of certain variants to the package offer takes place on then within the variants to be created. That is, each variant of the package offer can be assigned one or more other article variants, which then become part of the package offer. The quantity per article variant can be defined, so that a number of pieces larger than one of an article variant can be part of the package offer.
For the price calculation of the package, both the price specified in the package offer and the sum of the individual prices of the assigned article variant are added. This makes it possible to combine a variable price component with fixed prices: The variable price component is the price of the package offer, which is calculated using either the quantity entered or the stand area. In the case of a stand construction package, one would have to calculate the prices so that this corresponds to the price per sqm. A base price could be achieved using a separate article to which a specific price is assigned.
A discount rate can be added to each article variant. This discount rate is taken into account for stand construction packages, as well as for exhibitor groups. Means, if an article has a specified discount in %, it will be taken into account in the calculation of the package price. The price is then calculated like this:
= (Quantity * price of the package offer)
+ (price of the 1st assigned article variant * quantity / 100 * (100 - discount)
+ (price of the 2nd assigned article variant * quantity / 100 * (100 - discount)
+ (price of the nth assigned article variant * quantity / 100 * (100 - discount)
In the order management, the components of the package offer are listed individually, i.e., the package offer article and all variants linked to it. The calculated price is saved for the package offer article, the linked variants receive the price 0,- €. This also applies to the transfer of articles to a billing document.
This also ensures that service providers can access ordered individual items of the package offer.
In the order overview, the individual positions can be deleted separately, if necessary. It should be noted that deleting individual, linked variant items does not change the total price that appears in the exhibitor's shopping cart.
The exhibitor, on the other hand, cannot cancel the individual associated items of the package offer, but only the booked package offer as a whole.
