At least one (or any number of) variation(s) must be entered for each article. An article contains the basic information and properties, a variation possibly minor deviations regarding the design or the price.
Example: The article "Carpeting" is offered in several colors. In this case, it makes sense to enter the carpet as an article once and to create the colors as variations. Certain variations can also have a different price.
If several variations are entered for an article, a dropdown appears in the article detail view in the store from which the exhibitor can select the corresponding variation. When a variation is selected, any deviating price is automatically displayed.
The image stored for the article is always displayed in the article overview in the store. If an image has been stored for the variation, it will be displayed as soon as the corresponding variation has been selected via the dropdown.
If exhibitors belong to a certain exhibitor group and should receive discounts on certain articles (more precisely, on variants), is it possible to do this via the "Discounts for exhibitor groups" option via the dropdown menu in the item overview. This is where discount rates can be created for individual variants.
As soon as an exhibitor has been assigned to an exhibitor group for which discounts on variants have been entered, this exhibitor will see the discounted prices in the store instead of the normal prices.
